INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2026

Rosary Senior Secondary School celebrated Independence Day on 14th August 2026 in the Senior Wing Auditorium with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. A proud alumnus of Rosary Senior Secondary School (Batch of 2009), Squadron Leader Anshul Singh, presided as the Chief Guest for the occasion.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by invoking God's blessings through a prayer dance by the students of primary wing. The Chief Guest was felicitated with a shawl, memento and sapling as a token of respect and gratitude.

The school choir presented a melodious patriotic song, filling the auditorium with a spirit of patriotism. The Chief Guest then addressed the students and the gathering with an insightful and inspiring speech.

The meritorious students of Std. XII were felicitated for their outstanding performance. This was followed by a one-act play presented by the senior wing students, based on the life of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. The play was followed by the felicitation of the meritorious students of Std. X for their commendable performance. The students of the Senior Wing then presented a wonderful performance entitled “Echoes of Freedom”.

Father Principal, Rev. Fr. Jose Stephen, addressed the gathering with a thought-provoking speech, inspiring the students to value freedom, uphold their responsibilities and contribute positively to the nation.

The students expressed their gratitude through a heartfelt vote of thanks. The programme culminated with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a plantation drive, symbolising our collective responsibility towards the nation and the environment.
