About School

 GLORIOUS HISTORY OF 68 YEARS….
Since its re-establishment in 1958, Rosary School has grown into a distinguished institution of excellence, leadership, and values-based education. As we continue to write new chapters in this remarkable journey, it is important to look back with gratitude and pride at the rich heritage that has shaped this esteemed institution over the decades.
The roots of Rosary School trace back to 1932, when it began as The Mission School, a primary school dedicated to nurturing young minds. Though the school remained closed for a brief period due to unforeseen circumstances, it was revived in 1958 under the visionary guidance and earnest efforts of the late Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Fernandez. Beginning humbly with nursery classes in the side wing of the church, the school steadily progressed under the dedicated leadership of  Principal, Rev. Fr. George D’Souza and Rev. Fr. George D’Mello.
A major turning point came in 1964 when Rev. Fr. George Panakal took charge as Principal. His tireless dedication, progressive vision, and untiring commitment laid the strong foundation upon which Rosary School proudly stands today. Under his leadership, student strength increased significantly, leading to the construction of the historic main school building, inaugurated on 7 October 1966, the Feast Day of the School.
The institution achieved another milestone in 1970 with recognition and affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The following years witnessed remarkable academic growth with the introduction of Arts and Science streams, well-equipped laboratories, and the expansion of educational facilities. Despite challenges such as the devastating floods of 1978, the spirit of resilience and collective effort enabled the school to rise stronger than ever.
Over the years, Rosary School flourished under the able guidance of visionary Principals including Rev. Fr. E.D. Sebastian, Rev. Fr. Joseph Kudilil, Rev. Fr. Joseph Vadakkamcherry, Rev. Fr. Dr. A. Alphonse, Rev. Fr. Sabu Joseph, Rev. Fr. Vincent D’Souza, and Rev. Fr. Savari Raj. Their leadership brought academic excellence, infrastructural development, environmental initiatives, sports achievements, community outreach programs, and holistic growth to the institution.
Today, under the dynamic leadership of Rev. Fr. Jose Stephen, Rosary School continues to move forward with renewed vision, innovation, and dedication, while remaining firmly rooted in its cherished values and traditions.
Rosary School stands today not merely as an educational institution, but as a guiding light of knowledge, discipline, faith, and service — nurturing generations of responsible citizens and future leaders.
