An Inter-House Kite Making Competition and an Inter-House Mandala Art Making Competition were organised on 14 August 2026 as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The competitions aimed to nurture creativity, teamwork, artistic skills and a strong sense of patriotism among the students.

The Kite Making Competition was conducted for students of Classes IX and X. Students participated in teams of three and created colourful kites based on the theme “Patriotism.” They beautifully incorporated national symbols, the Indian tricolour and creative patriotic elements through painting and decoration. The activity encouraged students to work collaboratively while expressing their love for the nation through art.

The Mandala Art Making Competition was conducted for students of Classes XI and XII. Teams of two students created intricate 18 × 18 inch mandala artworks using mirrors, paints and decorative elements. The theme of patriotism was creatively reflected through motifs inspired by India, the tricolour, national symbols and the spirit of unity. The students demonstrated patience, precision, imagination and excellent teamwork.

Both competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation from the houses. The students displayed remarkable creativity and artistic talent, transforming simple materials into meaningful and visually appealing artworks. The activities provided a wonderful platform for students to celebrate India’s freedom, unity and diversity through art.

The competitions successfully promoted team spirit, creativity, confidence and patriotic feelings among the students. The efforts and participation of all the students were highly appreciated, and the events concluded on a joyful and patriotic note.

“Art is a beautiful way to express our love for our nation.”
