“Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of
love to those who need it most”
On behalf of the School Management, I would like to wish all our parents, guardians, staff and
dear students a safe, happy and holy Christmas. Though, this year has been different for obvious
reasons, but despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, Christmas spirit has been evident
albeit more subdued than normal.
We are dedicated to helping students stay on track with their virtual classes and exams. It is our mission
to see all our students The efforts of many people have come to the fore in keeping spirits high. In particular, I would
like to thank all the students who have performed in various virtual activities/programmes of the
school throughout the year and the parents for encouraging them to participate.
I pray that the Feast of Christmas helps us to start over again each morning with faith and with
hope. Let us continue to be the people of hope who celebrate the birth of a tiny babe Jesus Christ
who shared the powerful message of Love and Salvation. He is the Saviour of the world.
Let us live every moment, at peace with God and others. Let us not postpone the good things that
we could do now. A little act of kindness, a smile, a gentle word of appreciation, a positive
remarks etc that bring cheers into others life. Let’s reach out to the needy as a brother, a sister, or
a friend.
“There is darkness in personal, family and social relationships, but the light of Christ is greater.
There is darkness in human heart, yet the light of Christ is greater still. Christmas reminds us that
God continues to love us all, even the worst of us” - Pope Francis.
Covid-19 has forced us to slow the growth of our relationships, locking ourselves in, while the
baby Jesus invites us to open up, to give our life and His Light, Hope and Joy to others, especially
to those who need it most.
I believe God is guiding us through this time of pandemic and He is with us as we continue the
journey of life. Remember, we are not alone and God is with us. Let us change our outlook and
hopefully that will make the New Year brighter.
I wish each and every one of you and your dear ones Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year 2021.
May God shower your life with peace, good health, success, joy and prosperity.
Take Care. Keep Smiling!

This has certainly been an unusual start to the school year, but it’s been a successful one. We are proud
to see students and staff taking steps every day to keep each other safe and healthy.
We are dedicated to helping students stay on track with their virtual classes and exams. It is our mission
to see all our students do very well. Our teachers are dedicatedly maintaining and improving our
students’ readiness for learning at home. In doing this, students are able to revise and refine their skills
and the teachers have the opportunity to see how their students respond to the work they provide, and
how communication can be improved. I am hopeful of a smooth and rewarding journey through to the
end of this school year.
In all the change that we have to manage, I am continually encouraged by God’s promises when I read
in Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” We are so blessed to have this
assurance and know our God remains true forever
I pay my thanks to the parents who encourage us and support the decisions we make to manage the
changes the pandemic has inflicted on us. I offer my gratitude to them for their faith in us. I request the
parents to contact the class teacher if they have any questions or want to find ways for their ward
improve in their classes.
I am thankful to be able to serve such an amazing group of students, parents, faculty, staff and the
community.
Stay safe and God bless!

“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.”
As we have entered in the Holy Week of Lent period, it reminds Christians of God's sacrifice of His son, and also God's love for His people. Though this year, because of the Coronavirus pandemic, Easter will not be celebrated in the same way as is used to be in the Churches. And we, as Christians strongly believe that the true message of Easter is Hope. This is why we celebrate Easter every year and remember the Hope we have in Jesus. For me personally, it helps me to look at the present situation when the Coronavirus pandemic has spread across the globe.
The way the doctors carrying an immense burden to care for our people nationwide reminds me of Maundy Thursday of the Holy Week with a belief how Jesus washed the feet of the disciples to show them how to be humble and serve each other.
It is just right to say that WITHOUT Good Friday, there would not have been an Easter Sunday. Without Death, there would not have been Life. Without paying the price of sin, there would not be eternal salvation. And this is the Christian message in a nutshell.
People believe Jesus came into our world to carry the message of God’s unconditional love and forgiveness. So often, as Christians we put so much focus on Jesus suffering on the cross and we’ve even stated that this is the reason that Jesus came into the world — to suffer and die for our sins. Jesus did not come into the world to suffer and die; He came to bring God’s message of unconditional love and forgiveness. Easter Sunday morning tells us that nothing can ever separate us from the love of God.
Amidst the deadly outbreak of Covid-19, I strongly believe that Hope is Strength.
We, as a community, need to ask our Divine Creator for guidance in coping with this terrible illness and ask for his healing of those afflicted.
Let us pray to the Almighty God to give us the wisdom and strength to overcome this crucial time. Let us also pray to Jesus Christ, healer of all, to be with the doctors, nurses, researchers and all medical professionals who seek to heal and help those affected and who put themselves at risk in the process; to be with the leaders of all nations. Give them the foresight to act with charity and true concern for the well-being of the people they are meant to serve. Give them the wisdom to invest in long-term solutions that will help prepare for or prevent future outbreaks.
Our prayers will be heard, as we are all his people and we, as a nation and a world will get through this, as we do with many of the world challenges we face every day. All we need to do at this point of time is to have Hope and believe in Him.
It is said that though suffering may endure for the night, joy come in the morning. Some new dawns may not arrive as early as others, but we do not lose hope that new dawns are ever before us.
My dear students, I want all of you to be optimistic at this crucial time. Let us be confident that things will come out to be all good. Continue to pray for HOPE. I would like to share a beautiful quote with you all “None of us knows what might happen even the next minute, yet still we go forward. Because we trust.Because we have Faith.”
I conclude my Easter message with beginning quote “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” Hope does not mean focusing on all the positive aspects of life and ignoring the negative ones. Hope is actually the belief that beyond all darkness, suffering, and failure lies a beautiful light that awaits us and that makes our journey worth it.
We will certainly come out of this situation.
You just need to take all necessary precautions and don’t go out anywhere.
Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Safe & Stay Blessed...
May the Risen Lord bless you all & bring lots of happiness in our lives.
Wish you all a very Happy Easter...
God Bless

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "We have only two choices: to peacefully coexist, or to destroy ourselves." To attain real peace in our
country and in the world, we have first to formulate inner harmony. This is only possible when we trim down our negative thoughts and enhance
positive attitudes by developing love and compassion, tolerance and understanding among fellow human beings. We must learn to appreciate,
and to value, each other as human beings and thus to live together in goodwill.
Ethnic and cultural prejudices run unchecked in today's multicultural society; our environment is filled with divergence. We have to
realize that such hate-filled actions are not just events that can be discussed at parties, viewed from a distance, on television,
from the security of our living rooms. It is no longer the case that we can don the role of innocent observers of the hate mongers.
We must condemn the wrong being done, but not let our anger rise into irrational hostility, prejudice, and even more violence.
Humanism, which is the trademark of all religious teachings supersedes all racial and national barriers and is a great force for peace. But
today, more than ever before, we are suffering from “an exhaustion of spirit, an increase of egoism, vested interests of politicians and
leaders and all this makes the ideal of a peaceful society difficult to achieve”. In the changing world of today, students have a great deal
to contribute in establishing peace. You can make a difference by working together for a positive change in our motherland and in the world.
Open your hearts, soften rigid views, develop a sense of understanding and be transformed into loving individuals, into human beings at our
best. We must stop thinking of peace as some distant and perhaps unachievable goal and make it our objective right now. Universal humanitarian
approach to problems is the only sound foundation for peace.
Remember, there is no path to peace; peace is the path.
I wish a very ‘Happy New Year’ to all the staff and students and their families. May God bless our X and XII Graders that they may do exceptionally
well in their forthcoming Board exams.

Dear Students
A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2019, which took place on 8 March, was “Think equal, build smart, and innovate for change”. What pains me is that after so much wakefulness and recognition of a woman’s contribution to life, society, family and work; and after saluting her strength, spirit, sacrifice she still has to face discrimination. Are men to blame? That may not be true in entirety.
Let me narrate a story to emphasize what I want to articulate. There was a farmer who found an egg in an eagle’s nest.He took it and put it among his hen’s eggs for hatching. Soon the eggs hatched and the little chicks came out and followed the mother, imitated her and tried to be like her. The baby eagle also believed that she was a chick and behaved like one. The mother hen saw and knew that one of her chicks was different, but was frightened to admit it .The baby eagle, all her life, believed she was a hen and behaved like one .Then one day she saw a gorgeous, great eagle soaring high up into the sky with her powerful wings. The ‘hen eagle’ looked up and longingly said, “I wish I could fly into the sky so high like the eagle. In my next birth I would like to be born an eagle”; not realizing her own, strength, supremacy and capability as an eagle.
Many women also believe they are hens, when in reality they are eagles. It has been embedded in their minds since generations that they are incapable of many things. But the fact is women have promising abilities and endowments which need to be acknowledged.
I request all my girl students to honour themselves, this way others too would respect you. Believe in yourself. The improvement of a nation depends on girl’s learning. Boys too have important roles to play. Empowering women starts right in your families, at school and neighbourhood. Tell your own sisters andmothers how much you value them. Treat your school mates with deference and respect. Mind your language, and attitude. We are all made in the image of God; so we are all equal.
Once again, it is time to welcome everyone to the start of another new academic year. I greet students to a compassionate and motivating environment in which they can realize their potential.
In all our endeavours for academic and curricular advancement upholding of discipline will be our priority.

Dear Students
As we continue with the celebrations of the ‘Diamond Jubilee’ of our
great institution, it is with great pride that I welcome you to the
new academic year 2018-19. We offer our gratitude to the great
puissant who built this temple of learning and pray that God may guide
and sustain us, as we go forth towards the zenith of the celebrations
to be held on 12 October 2018.
As always quality education is our top priority and the
administration, faculty and staff will continue to work relentlessly
to build a challenging and nurturing environment for you.
Students I am proud of your accomplishments in the classroom, the
community and on the athletic field. Let’s gear up to face new
challenges and to meet them with poise and grace. Hard work is
obligatory if you want to get anywhere in life. There is no substitute
for hard work. You can accomplish what you aspire for with the right
mind-set, a positive attitude, and above all, self-discipline. Always
set goals with anything and everything that you do in life, and make
sure to continue trying until you achieve those goals. Never let
disappointment dissuade you. Success might just be around the corner.
Thomas A. Edison said, “If we all did things we are capable of, we
would literally astound ourselves.”
May the Holy Spirit enlighten you and bless you with good health,
prosperity and peace.

As exams are at our door step, I am writing this to all the Parents/Guardians so
that they can help the students get through the exams without any stress or pressure.
We, the teachers and the parents together have to make our children understand that
Exams teach us lot of things and give training to various things like punctuality,
writing skills, timing sense, expressing our thoughts and opinions and so on. Without
exam it is very hard to find out the level of understanding and the skills of an
individual student.
I would like to give a piece of advice to the parents which may help the students
in many ways:
- It's important to get a good night's sleep before an exam, so discourage your child
from staying up late to cram. And make sure he or she eats a good breakfast on the
morning of the exam.
- Throughout the run up to the exams and after it is important to reassure your child
that no matter what results they receive, give them as much encouragement and support
during these times.
Lastly, I would like to give a message to all my dear students that "The great future
belongs to those who have strong vision and determination. And it doesn't matter
where are you now, Starting well and finishing strong is all that matters. Wishing
all the best for your upcoming exams!!!"
Study Well! Do Well! Keep Smiling Always!!!

Warm Greetings from Fr. Vincent D'Souza!
We all know that "Changes are important because it affects and impacts all of us
at some point in life. If we do not experience different things, then we become
stagnant and will not grow in our everyday lives." Every year, the School Management
does some development works in the School during the vacations so that our students
can get better facilities, better experience with a better look every time they
come after the vacations. Last year, the entire building color - interior and exterior
was changed to give a complete new look to the School. Also, an Auditorium was constructed
in the Primary wing which is used for many purposes - like Yoga, remedial classes,
competitions, various activities etc.
The purpose of writing this report is to provide an overview to the parents/guardians
about the development works completed in past 2 months. Let me take this opportunity
to thank each and every individual - parents, guardians, students and all those
who are associated with the School directly or indirectly without whom this project
could not have been completed successfully.
I would like to mention the works which are being done in the School premises:
1. School Main Gate: The new main gate of the School is constructed
with a high structure roof and a newly constructed Guard Room.
2. School Name on the Building: the School name with Steel and
Acrylic alphabets are fixed on the Senior wing building of the School.
3. Stamped Concrete: The entire School compound is laid with stamped
concrete (designer concrete) which has added beauty in the School campus.
4. Library in Primary Wing: As we all know that a school library
exhibits positive impact on the academic achievement of the students. It helps students
with lifelong learning skills and reading books helps in their overall development.
A new library is renovated in the Primary Wing for the students of Classes I to
V.
5. Classroom Cupboards: New wooden cupboards are made for the classrooms
of Senior wing (Class VI to XII). New wooden cupboards were already fixed in the
classrooms of Primary wing (Class I to V) last year.
6. Pre Primary Activity Hall: A new Activity Hall is constructed
in the Pre Primary wing for tiny tots with a seating capacity up to 500 people.
The Hall has a small stage for these little ones so that we can prepare them to
perform on stage from their initial stages which further helps them in their overall
development.
7. Swings in the Pre Primary and Primary Ground: Playing is integral
to a child's development. It is an essential part of every child's life and is vital
for the enjoyment of childhood as well as social, emotional, intellectual and physical
development. The School Management has already got some fun stations for the students
of the Pre-Primary and Primary wing and will be fixed shortly.
8. Catechism Room: Principal's Old Office in the Senior wing is
converted into the Catechism Room from the students of the Senior wing.
9. New Reception at Primary Wing: a new reception is made for the
parents of Primary wing outside the Headmistress's Room.
10. Steel Railings: Steel railings are fixed this year from the
main gate to the Reception of the School. The same railings were already fixed in
rest of the campus in previous years.
I wish and pray the Lord to grant you all Good Health and increase you in wisdom.
May God continue to watch over you always and may His blessings shower upon you
always.
With Prayers

I am excited and honored to welcome each and every one of you to the beginning of
a new school year at Rosary Sr. Sec. School. It is certainly a proud moment to announce
that this school year will be a year of Diamond Jubilee since its inception from
1958. Let us promise each other in setting and reaching attainable goals, working
harder and smarter and taking our school and student achievement to the next level
of "GREATNESS". At Rosary, we are dedicated to a student-centered program that promotes
academic excellence through an enriched, rigorous inter-disciplinary curriculum.
As a staff, we are here to support all of you, by any means necessary, to ensure
you reach your fullest academic potential. We look forward to working with you,
our parents and the members of the community to provide a high-quality education
that you all deserve.
This year, you can look forward to encountering a highly intensive and challenging
academic program that will push you to work beyond your limits. However, I am confident

We do all of this to prepare you for the demands of the real-world so you may become
productive citizens, become our future leaders, and contribute and/or give back
something positive to the community.
I would like to sum up here with a message "Let us make this beginning more
beautiful by bowing our heads to thank God for a lovely last year and seek blessings
for another great year at school.... May you are blessed with high energies and
positive mind to work harder and be successful!!"

Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because
we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding
the meaningless and stressing the true values.
As we all know December is considered a great season of goodwill and merriment.
So Christmas is greeted with special merriment and rejoicing everywhere. The birth
of Jesus is considered one of the most significant events in world history. Jesus
Christ took birth on this earth to save humanity from misery and darkness. The spread
of love and peace among mankind is the supreme message of Christmas. A time to forget
all the chaos of life and to embrace good hopes. It gives you an opportunity to
forget all the not so good events of past and initiate fresh & new beginnings. Jesus
came into the world bearing a message of paramount importance: God is our creator,
sustainer and redeemer; to see the Father, we must look at His Son.
But I wonder that is it only in the Christmas season when we have to remember all
these values. My message to all loving students "We must develop and maintain the
capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power
to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us When
we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies".
We must remember always the reason Jesus was born is that we might know God! This
is why we celebrate Christmas with such joy year after year. Though Jesus called
"Emmanuel," which means God with us, God is indeed with us in youth and old age,
in good times and bad, in tragedy and triumph.
Christmas is all about God giving us His best, because He loves us. John 3:16 begins,
"For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son..." The Bible
echoes this sentiment again in 1 John 4:9-10: "God showed how much He loved us by
sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through
Him. This is real love".
I wish all of you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May
this joyful season greet you with health and happiness. God Bless You. Keep Smiling
Always!

Dear Rosarians, on the occasion of Dussehra, I would like to share a story- A story
about an old Cherokee chief who was teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is
going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between
two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, lust, greed, arrogance, resentment,
lies, false pride and ego. The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity,
humility, kindness, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is
going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which
wolf will win?"
The old chief replied, "The one you feed."
This truly means that there is always a battle between good and bad, and this battle
is not about two individuals rather it signifies that when an individual losses
his/her mental balance of pure thoughts and non-violence, is unable to differentiate
between the good and evil thoughts, deeds and actions. Some are stronger and disallow
their bad to outweigh their good, while others tend to gravitate more to selfish
pleasure-thus acting out with bad behavior. My dear loving students, we all have
some good and evil and it should be our goal to kill the evil within us.
My message to you on this Dussehra is to ensure to do well to others and give as
much as you can. Work hard and be committed to what you do. Do not stand for what
is wrong, for it is rightly said, "The world will not be destroyed by those who do
evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything."
On this auspicious occasion, I wish the color, bliss and beauty of this festival
to be with you throughout the year and may this Dussehra light up for you, your
family and all your near and dear ones the hopes of happy times and dreams for a
year full of smiles!
So let us all celebrate the Victory of good over evil and Success of truth over
lies.
Wish you all a Very Happy Dussehra and a Joyful & Prosperous Diwali !!!

Mother gives birth to child, teacher gives Life. 'Teachers' day is observed
to pay respect to the teachers of our country. Teachers are regarded as the back-bone
of our society. They have the greatest contribution to build up the character of
students and help them to become ideal citizens of our country.
On this special day, we should not forget one of the great role models Dr Radhakrishnan
who always keep on reminding us the importance of a teacher. Teacher is a mentor
who always does his best to shape a good human being in us. At the same time, on
this Teacher's Day I would like to give a message to the parents of our loving students
that You are the ultimate role models for children. Your every word, movement and
action has an impact on your child. No other person or outside force has a greater
influence on a child than the parent.
Parents are the children's first teachers. When a young child begins formal school,
the parent's job is to show him how school can extend the learning he began together
at home, and how exciting and meaningful this learning can be. As preschoolers grow
into school age kids, parents become their learning coaches. Through guidance and
reminders, parents help their kids organize their time and support their desires
to learn new things in and out of school.
There is a beautiful saying: "A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation
for your Life". Family atmosphere is the foundation behind every person and it leads
to the character development of them. Family is the mirror through which they see
the world. It gives them the initial understanding about the world outside the window
and from these bits and pieces they create their own understanding and point of
view.
Students are the future of our country and the future of our country depends upon
the moral values imparted to them during their student life. Teaching moral values
to children has become a subject of deep interest, powerful concern and enormous
priority. Children have an immense power of observation and their feelings are deep
rooted. They always observe their parents at home. The parents really need to focus
on teaching their children morals, because it will shape the character of the individual
and help him to become a better person. These morals will help guide the child throughout
their lifetime.
These days it is sad to see around so many broken families and the ultimate sufferer
is the child. When we bring children into this world, it is clearly our responsibility
to create a safe and loving environment - one that will nurture the child and help
him to develop into a confident and responsible adult. One of the key factors of
this safe environment is a positive relationship between parents.
Researchers at the Center on the Developing Child, Harvard University shared that
"when (the) home is not stable" executive function skills may be impaired, or may
not develop at all, limiting a child's success in elementary school and later life.
"This means that a stable home environment is vital for children to thrive in school
and in life. Ultimately, our children need to feel safe and loved to be ready for
school. Only then they can begin to focus on learning and doing their best in school.
A positive and relaxed environment at home will help your child concentrate on studies
and learn better. As a parent, you have the biggest responsibility of creating the
right environment for your child as it will affect his/her personality, learning
and behavior. Environment and child development are correlated.
Lastly I would like to sum up with a very beautiful saying "A teacher should inspire
child to reach academic success, A Parent should inspire their child to use that
success in a way that influences positive change in the world". So let us
jointly put efforts in bringing up the best of our children.

"By blood, I am Albanian. By citizenship, an Indian. By faith, I am a Catholic
nun. As to my calling, I belong to the world. As to my heart, I belong entirely
to the Heart of Jesus"
- Mother Teresa
Let us remember Mother Teresa on her birthday today and recall her selfless contribution
towards the society.
Mother Teresa was a true follower of humanity. Many people considered Mother as
the "reincarnated form of Lord Jesus". Mother Teresa devoted her entire life in
serving the needy and abandoned people of the society. Although her mission started
in India, she succeeded in bringing the people of all societies under one roof,
i.e. humanity.
Mother Teresa's life revolved around healing and comforting the sick. She saw Jesus
in everyone that she met, no matter their condition. She wanted them to die in peace
and with dignity. She also learned basic medicine and went into the homes of the
sick to treat them. She started religious congregation "The Missionaries of Charity
(MC)" which comes to the aid of everyone who feels that all hope is lost. Her contribution
to society, or to the world, is a big one, and it is also evident in the number
of awards she has received for her wonders. She gained the name "Saint of the Gutters"
because of her dedication towards helping the poorest of the poor in India.
As we all know that on September 4, 2016 Blessed Mother Teresa will be declared a
Saint. As she will be canonized on this day, it is surely a moment of great
joy and celebration for the whole world that we all will commemorate Mother Teresa
for her selfless charity in a special way to our motherland. She was an Albanian
Catholic nun who came to India but her selfless work among the poverty-stricken
people of Kolkata is an inspiration for people all over the world. Though her work
is recognized and remembered by the people across the world, she has served our
country and loved the people of India whole heartedly and she took her last breath
in our country in 1997.
In my opinion, Mother Teresa made a positive difference in the world. She has always
been an inspiration for everyone and always set out the right example. Her willingness
to help every single person in need made her a loving and caring person who dedicated
her life to aiding the sick, the rejected and the poor. She changed many people's
lives and continues to do so with her order "The Missionaries of Charity" which
is spread out all over the world.
She was a living saint and did everything Jesus would want her to do. She was determined
to help the needy and that determination never faded. Her impact on the world was
a positive one, giving many people hope and something to live for.
On her elevation to sainthood, let us also inspired by the great inspiration Our
very own Dear Mother Teresa. We should always remember "Being good is commendable,
but only when it is combined with doing good..."

"Freedom is essential to the pursuit of happiness. Freedom is essential to artistic
evolution and expression. Freedom is essential to the expansion of the human mind.
Freedom is essential to the creation of an individual's will, motivations, preferences,
and unique talents. In essence, freedom is essential to the success and progress
of humanity."
Today we celebrate the 70th Independence Day of our great Nation. On this joyous
occasion I convey my greetings and good wishes to all the Rosarians and their near
and dear ones and pray for their peace, progress and prosperity.
On this auspicious day, 69 years ago, India attained freedom from colonial rule
and the people of our country became the masters of their destiny. All in all, the
past 69 years have been momentous; despite of serious challenges on various fronts,
including several attacks on the territorial integrity of India, we have been able
to keep the flame of democracy burning bright. Today our country is a well established
democratic country all over the world. We should not forget the contribution of
our forefathers who fought for us, our freedom. We are so lucky that our freedom
fighters have given us a land of peace and happiness where we can sleep whole night
without fear and enjoy whole day in our school or home.
At the same time, I feel sad to see around so many problems. We always talk about
the corruption, poverty etc. In my view, Communalism is affecting everyone. Communalism
is one of the most serious problems that India is still facing even after getting
the freedom. This problem has existed among the followers of religious communities.
In the name of religion such acts have been committed that are no doubt shameful
and an act of fleeing from the message of great freedom fighters who lead the country
to the door steps of freedom through non-violence, the sacred human value. "Communalism
is cruel and unjust. It cuts deep and lingers long in individual and community memories.
And it is not a thing of the past....We all have a duty to do what we can to turn
this around". We are witnessing so many heartwarming incidents these days
whether it be 'cow brigade' or atrocities against the under-privileged and the poor.
It is pity that because of such problems the innocents have to suffer a lot and
many a times have to pay heavy price including sacrificing their lives. It is the
time when we need to understand that this problem can only result in hatred among
people of different communities. We should not forget "Anti-Communalism starts from
you". According to Richard C. Lambert-"Communalism is the negative aspect
of the community. That is to say, when the people of a particular community care
only for their own narrowly concerned interests, through the means of their religious
faiths, old customs and conservative practices, disregarding the interests of whole
society". Thus, in order to get rid of the problem of communalism in India, there
is a need of collective efforts. All will have to discharge their duties. If we
do so, definitely harmony will prevail.
Let us hope that at least the present and future generations, may be liberated from
these problems and for that we need to start a basic understanding right from the
roots of every child through proper education and understanding that getting corrupted
is not the key, but being a respectable and dignified leader is what it all counts.
On a positive note, let us strive to make our country a better and safe place by
following the values and principles taught by our great leaders. Let us spread awareness,
knowledge, values and gain wisdom. Let us make this our Independence Day resolution.
If each individual of our country follows these basic principles he/she would grow,
so would his/her family, his/her surroundings and eventually it would lead our country
to become a great nation. Therefore let us make a promise on this auspicious Independence
day and let us make India our motherland shine even brighter into our future by
joining hands together and keeping in mind "Where there is Unity, there is always
Victory"

"HE came to HIS own, and HIS own received 'HIM' not...
But, to all who did receive HIM, HE gave power to become children of God" (John
1:11-12)...
My Dear Staff and Students
Our Blessed Mother leads you Rosarians by name to this much celebrated moment in
history, worldwide towards the end of the year. May this season of Christmas act
as a spark to boost your life and bring sapping energies back into vigour.
The word C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S is loaded with meaning not only for Christians but for
the entire humanity and Christmas is celebrated globally. May we experience what
Christmas really means in order to share this Joy and Mercy with others.
C-hrist the anointed one is Jesus, born as a little baby in a stable
in Bethlehem
H-oly One of God, adored by angels, shepherds, poor, simple, wise
and kings
R-edeemer, the Lamb of God who accepts death for the love of sinners
and all
I-mmanuel, God with us, as man who lived on earth and continues
to love us
S-on of God, the second person of the Trinity, becomes the Word
made flesh
T-eacher in Aramaic is Mari and in Hebrew is Rabbi, taught the
true wisdom
M-essiah the one who liberates us giving us the freedom of God's
children
A-lmighty and Lord who holds the power in heaven and on earth
S-aviour who came to save us from the chains of sin and evil
Let us enjoy the Gift of CHRISTMAS which is Peace, Hope, Joy and Love received through
the 'Christ experience' which we share with others as we sing: Christmas a Saviour
will come, Christmas a Babe in a Stable, Crying on Straw in a Manger, Jesus the
Lord will be born. To all the destitute crying to Him in salvation; to all the destitute
hope He brings and reassurance. May You, I, We be True Children of God by responding
more and more to the ''Less'' among us: the loveless the friendless, jobless, homeless,
lifeless, landless, penniless, Godless, nation-less, aimless, joyless, hopeless,
ration-less of our global village. In 'this Year of Mercy' let me wish you a Mercy
Christmas. May we all experience God's mercy and be God's 'Face of Mercy' today.
This Christmas I am sending all my blessings and prayers to you my dears. May
the happiness of Jesus coming surround you. Merry Christmas to you and your loved
ones.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

It is a matter of pride that our school takes its name from the 'Holy Rosary'. Just
as several beads are put together to form one Rosary, so too the children of our
School with different abilities and qualities, gifts and talents, religious backgrounds,
languages and customs all form 'One Rosarian Family'. ROSARY school has thus grown
into a united family, where all members speak one language and retain the same model,
namely our Blessed Mother Mary, mother of Jesus as the Queen of the Rosary and our
School's Patroness who helps us to keep united and work together for a noble cause.
It was the Rosary devotion and prayer to our Blessed Mother to intercede in defending
the country during the Battle of Lepanto the victory in 1571, that resulted in the
Rosary becoming a popular devotion universally. Pope Pius V declared October 7th
as the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. From then on every Christian home and family
began to pray the Rosary. In India we call the rosary beads as 'Rosary Mala'. Every
time we pray the Rosary, Mother Mary is offered a garland of praise for her great
faith and we can count on her protection of our country, our family and our loved
ones. Moreover, it is believed that whoever approaches our Blessed Mother Mary is
not turned back and that every prayer is answered.
Mother Mary unites the Rosarian family wherever we are and would not wish any one
to be separated from this bond. So, we pray ardently that nobody gets disassociated
from us or goes astray. Roses stand for love and a garland of roses is the Rosary.
May 'Rosary Senior Secondary School' uphold the values of self sacrificing love
enshrined in this holy Rosary. May Mother Mary motivate us to share this bond of
love as Rosarians with others too. Today as we wish each other a Happy Feast, may
we offer the roses of Mother Mary's love to all her children. I feel proud of you
dear Staff and students for your deep devotion to our Patroness. I wish each one
of you a truly Blessed and Happy School Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.
HAPPY FEAST TO ALL.

Dear Students,
Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education. - Martin Luther
King, Jr.
Education is a lifelong process and it prepares you to adapt, adjust and evolve
as you fulfill your duties and roles as the citizens of the world. I firmly believe
that knowledge liberates you. Learning is not attained by chance; it must be sought
for with ardor and attended with diligence.
For some of you the month of September may not be joyful as we will be holding S.A
-I which in other words is the First Term Examination. I would like to remind you
that examinations are a student's motivation to learn more. They compel us to solidify
what we have learned, study further and practice skills. Thanks to them, we sharpen
our logical and critical thinking. After all, if there was no test, then we would
naturally rather play than study.
Exams are essential not just to check the ability of each student. It is an opportunity
for you to grow in confidence and thus build your personality. The better the performance,
the more proud one is of oneself. Each exam takes you higher on the ladder of success.
Exams are designed for excellence. Each and every student can excel. One cannot
compare the performance of various students; as everyone's step whether small or
big is a step higher. And I am confident that all Rosarians do have this attitude
towards examinations. So I wish you all the very best. May you reap the rewards
of your hard work and sincere efforts.
Wish you best of luck for your forthcoming exams,
May God bless you abundantly.

REJOICE IN THE MIRACLE OF EASTER
Dear Students

the best in all that you strive for. You have been promoted to the next class. .
You have greater roles to achieve, more knowledge to acquire. Let us now envisage
a future where all of you dream big to reach goals that you set for yourselves,
to believe that in order to grow and flourish there is a need to deepen our roots
and anchor ourselves in the values we stand while learning from each other and the
world around us. The ongoing process of learning maybe attained from academics,
sports, art, culture, social services and even entertainment.
I ask the Lord to bless you and your families, especially as we enter the Holy week.
May the glory and promise of this joyous time of the year bring peace and happiness
to you and those you hold most dear. May the Risen Christ always be there by your

we also need to be grateful to our teachers who have guided and accompanied us to

for providing us with good education in the best school. Let us make them proud
and win laurels for our school. As the academic year draws to a close, dear students

From the year just gone by we remember the laughter, the joy, the hard work and
the tears. Having reflected on the past year we think of the new one to come. Most
importantly this is a time of new beginnings and the celebrations of life. This
brings a responsibility for each of us to work so that the world becomes a community
of brothers and sisters who respect each other, accept each other in one's diversity,
and takes care of one another. The New Year is not about changing the dates but
direction. It's not about changing the calendar but commitment; it's not about changing
the actions but checking the attitude; it's not about changing the fruit but faith,
force and focus. It is when I May we commit and create the best New Year ever.
This Year has been dedicated to the 'Family'. We thank God for the gift of our Rosarian
Family which is a Sanctuary of Life and a School of Love. Let us
become aware of the sacredness of the family and its beauty in God's plan. A Model
Family prays for and expresses a spirit of prayer and thanksgiving, peace
and joy, unity and love. May the Lord guide you dear students and give you strength
to show courage in times of trials and difficulties so that you become messengers
of peace and heralds of the Gospel. May you understand that your family life is
made beautiful and happy by caring and sharing, giving and forgiving. May God bless
your families with the grace to be attentive to the needs of the poor. May Mary,
Queen and Patroness of all Rosarians the world over protect each one of you and
your families.

Every child desires to "there" at the finishing line amidst cheers and "bravos".
It is needed that students require especially games, exercise and sports which are
a valuable part of the school's regular curriculum. To enhance the all round development
of the students, we, at Rosary take special care so that physical skills offered
promote their spiritual, mental and emotional development. Moreover to inculcate
sports values and team spirit among the students, the school organizes Sports Day
every alternate year. We feel proud to see our students take active part in the
various events of sports and drill displays.
Besides sports day, our students take part in various inters school zonal, state,
and national level events. This year our students have won laurels in 54 events
(in sub-junior, junior and senior categories). The students have carved a niche
for themselves in bagging not only the most coveted overall "championship" but also
60 medals (including 15 gold medals, 19 silver medals and 26 bronze medals in Zonal,
State and CBSE meet 2014-15.
A "New Meets Record" has been set by Jayanti Mangai, Arya Kutty, Vanshika Gupta
and Muskaan Gupta in the event 4x100m Relay Race and now they look forward to bagging
the "National Championship" to be held from 6th – 12th January 2015 in Gujarat.
Hats off to these students and Godspeed to them pray the entire Rosarian family
for the upcoming events.
We are grateful to all our parents who have encouraged the students by their willingness,
co-operation and generous contribution. I sincerely thank each and every one of
you dear staff, Students and parents for having organized successfully the 57th

The Feast of our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated by the Catholic Church on 7th
October each year. The origin of this feast dates back to 1571 when Pope Pius V
instituted the feast in gratitude to Mary for her role in aiding the great naval
victory over the Turks at Lepanto. It was extended to the universal church in 1716
when Prince Eugene won another important victory over the same enemy in Hungary.
In honor of our Lady, this school of Delhi Catholic Archdiocese was started at Kingsway
Camp in 1958 and was named as Rosary School. Since, Mary's Divine assistance continues
to aid Rosarians to excel - no wonder, Rosarians all over the world are doing well
and progressing in various fields of development. Thanks to Mary's Patronage.
Though the actual Feast Day falls on 7th October, we at Rosary, are celebrating
it this year on 14th October. This Feast Day we are invited to recall our school
Moto viz "Let Your Light Shine". Just as Rosarians all over have been spreading
the Light all over the world, the present batch of Rosarians too, would do well
to share the light, they receive at school with all those around, by their good
acts, thoughts and deeds. "You are the Light of the World" (Jn 8:12). May you shine
in the world like stars; as Rosarians may you be enlighted with peace, May Mary
Queen of the Rosary Bless you dear staff and students, to gain victory against Violence,
aggression and to choose peaceful measures to enjoy the gift of Harmonious Development.
I thank the Staff for inculcating the Models of virtues of Mother Mary in our students
especially that of humility, obedience and selfless service. I wish you all the
best in your endeavors.
A Happy Feast to one and all.

Is there a need for SA1 / Term 1 Exam in school? The purpose behind it is that students
can be helped to face exams boldly by adequate preparation . It gives them the opportunity
to exceel as students in scholastics. Above all one appreciates the hard work put
in by the students. Hence each student is expected to put in his / her best efforts
in preparing for the exams. Their confidence level rises to face life better.
I extend all the Rosarians Best Wishes for their forth coming SA1 / Term 1 . May
God Bless your hard work.
The celebration of the " Girl Child " co-incides with the Birthday of Mother
Mary on 8th September. Rosary School as
we all know is under the patronage of our Blessed Mother Mary. I wish that all our
girl children / students like Mother Mary who praises God and proclaims His greatness
also follow her inspiring example. May every girl child of our school discover and
realize her potential by being actively involved in many fields be it academics
or non – academics, sports, arts, meditation, music, yoga aerobics, journalism
, karate, dance and so on …….
Teacher's Day : Do we show our gratitude and respect to our teachers
only on "Teachers Day" ? Can we show our reverence by daily following the instructions
of our teachers? By doing so, we can bring much joy and happiness to our teachers.
The teachers have to work hard every day for the students. Let us express our gratefulness
not just by words but also by our kind attitude. Parents and Guardians could also
teach the children to value not only the class teacher but all the teachers who
teach them. Let us emulate the values we learn from our teachers. I wish every teacher
of Rosary School a very Happy Teachers Day . On behalf of the School Management
I sincerely thank all the teachers (In service and retired from service ) for their
share and contribution in the growth of this great institution. May our patroness
, Mother Mary bless each and everyone of them and their families.

I am happy to be back at Rosary School, Delhi as it is not new to me, having been
here before as vice principal. Now as the new principal I request your co operation
your prayerful support and joyful collaboration which go a long way as we strive
together in this great school of ours with new enthusiasm. I now can count on your
team spirit and achieve a new vision for Rosary School.
In the month August we have two important festival s that is Raksha Bandhan and
Independence Day. The Rakhi is a symbol of brotherly- Sisterly-love. It is a bond
of sanctity and here at Rosary it is my wish that we cultivate the values of love
and forgiveness, irrespective of caste and creed. Such fraternal love will blind
us with a feeling of oneness. Hence each and every student experiences a sense of
belonging in our Rosarian Family.
Independence Day brings memories of our freedom fighters who gave up their lives
in the freedom struggle from an external bond. But today we see how our country
faces the struggle within. We are enslaved from within due to anger, violence weakness
of passion, revenge etc. Independence Day is a reminder to fight from the chains
of evils so that our citizens may truly awake into that heaven of freedom. As Rosarian
may we grow in interior freedom by practicing love, compassion and forgiveness.

Future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. We at Rosary
Senior Sec. School teach our students to dream of the stars with feet firmly placed
on the ground. Since its establishment in 1958, the primary aim of our school has
been to provide a platform that would help students to realize their potential and
become the leaders of tomorrow. We have established this platform on the pillars
of love, tolerance and understanding, our mission being to create a world with no
room for the fear of the unknown, misconceptions or misunderstandings. Children
today have abundant energy that needs to be channelized in the right direction.
Rosary school provides a learning environment which nourishes the brain, body and
soul and instills in children the right combination of traditional values and modern
progressive ideas. Rosary school is proud to create a movement where in an individual
leaves the almamater ready to face this ever changing world with intellect, compassion,
humility, patience, honesty and courage. Rosarians today leave their footprints
of mental ability, boundless energy, disciplined approach and a strong character
all across their path of journey.
We understand the importance of balance, and thus encourage our students to take
part in various extra-curricular activities. Our dedicated staff has worked closely
with students to reach their potential in the areas of sport, music and art.
In helping our students to become valuable and active participants of the community,
we also pay special attention to student welfare. Through personal and small group
activities, we improve the moral and social responsibility of our students and help
them develop self-confidence and an appreciation of identity. We also have strong
communication with parents to optimize student learning. Having close ties with
parents and locals also allows us to be very vibrant and active within the community.
The biggest challenge faced by the educators of today is to prepare students for
the challenges of a globalised world. Students of today face a world that continually
demands new knowledge and abilities; a world that requires the students to become
adaptable, life-long learners in an ever-changing scenario of new skills and competencies.
The school will continue its endeavour towards providing holistic and quality education
by infusing each and every student with the zeal to be passionate about learning
as well as to be engaged and inspired.
I hope to share with you the wonderful experiences within Rosarian family and would
like to extend my best wishes to all our students, staff, parents and alumni.
